Lake End Park
General Park Rules
•
- All campers must register at the park Office. Renters of any campsite must be at least 18 years old and present valid identification.
- Park closes to non-camping residents at dusk.
- Quiet Time: 11:00 PM – 8:00 AM.
- Trash must be placed in dumpsters. Do not leave trash on campsites.
- Campers must maintain their sites at all times.
- Lake End Park and the City of Morgan City are not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal property.
- No littering.
- Glass bottles, containers, or receptacles are prohibited anywhere in the park or on Lake End Parkway.
- Trees are protected. Damaging trees in any way, including breaking branches, chopping limbs, or nailing objects to trees, is strictly prohibited.
- Sleeping is allowed only in tents, RVs, or approved shelters. Sleeping in vehicles or on the ground is prohibited.
- The speed limit is 5 MPH throughout the park.
- Vehicles—including electric and gas-powered golf carts, side-by-sides, and scooters—must remain on designated roadways and be operated by a licensed driver.
- Electric scooters are allowed. Operators must be at least 16 years old, have a valid driver’s license, and use proper riding equipment.
- Pets must be always kept on a leash and under control. Owners must pick up pet waste immediately. Pets are not allowed in restrooms, showers, or beach areas.
- Open fires are allowed only in designated fire rings, which may not be moved. Barbecue pits and butane burners used for cooking seafood are permitted.
- Firearms are prohibited except by authorized police personnel.
- Fireworks of any type are prohibited.
- Vehicle repair or maintenance of any kind is not allowed in the park.
- Fun jumps, large pools, and any unsafe outdoor equipment are prohibited unless approved in advance by Park Management or the Lake End Park Committee.
- Boats must travel at idle speed when entering or exiting the channel.
- Boats may not travel, anchor, or tie up within swimming areas.
- Bicycles, skateboards, and roller blades are not permitted on the walking trail or under pavilions.
- Swimming is at your own risk. No lifeguard on duty.
- Diving is prohibited from all shores, docks, bulkheads, and park structures.
- Only RVs may be parked on RV sites. No boats, vehicles, or golf carts may park on empty sites.
- Campers must park their RVs properly to avoid damage to the grounds.
- Excessive, disturbing, or unnecessary noise is prohibited.
Tent Camping Rules
• Check-in and check-out time: 2:00 PM.
• Only one (1) tent is allowed per site.
• Air conditioners are not permitted in tent areas.
• Open fires allowed only in designated fire rings.
• Only campers and their invited guests may enter the tenting area.
RV Site Rules
• Check-in and check-out time: 2:00 PM.
• Tents are not allowed in RV sites.
• Open fires allowed only in designated fire rings.
• Only campers and their invited guests may enter the RV area.
